Emilia Clarke joins Star Wars’ Han Solo spin-off

Emilia Clarke, the star of the Game of Thrones will swap dragons in another movie. The British actress joins Star Wars’ Han Solo spin-off, the Hollywood Reporter informed.

Emilia Clarke will fight during their intergalactic space travel in her new movie, a spin-off of the Star Wars. Ms Clarke confirmed that she will be part of the yet-to-be-named Han Solo spin-off film.

Besides Emilia Clarke will play Alden Ehrenreich, who will play Solo, the role ofLando Calrissian won Donald Glover, all of them were confirmed after casting in October. The new film is a prequel to Star Wars, it’ll focus on the formative years of Solo and Calrissian as they became space smugglers and, as Lucasfilms put it, ‘scoundrels on the rise’.

Clarke was competing for this role in spin-off with other actresses like Tessa Thompson, Naomi Scott and Zoe Kravitz. In the new movie about Han Solo will play Clarke’s fellow Game of Thrones star, Jessica Henwick.

According to schedule, the Han Solo stand-alone movie will hit theatres in May 2018, producers say.
