The Turkish leader visited the Teknofest aerospace technology festival in Istanbul. He was accompanied by his wife Emine, as well as Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who arrived on a visit to Turkey, with his wife Mehriban, and Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity of Libya Abdulhamid Dbeiba. They drove up to the stage in a TOGG electric car.

The festival, which takes place on the territory of the former Ataturk International Airport, presents various military aircraft and helicopters, drones and other equipment of the Turkish Air Force, and air shows are also held there.
