Erdogan said that the West began to agree with the idea of expanding the UN Security Council

The West has begun to agree with Turkey’s proposals to reform the UN Security Council, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on June 5 during a congress of the ruling Justice and Development Party in Kyzylkahamam.

“The proposal that we have been making for many years regarding the reform of the UN looks like a good one. The world is greater than 5, now they themselves began to say it. They say that the UN Security Council needs to be reformed. They will come to what we say,” Erdogan said.

Which of the Western politicians agreed with the need to reform the UN Security Council Erdogan did not say.
He also noted that the system created by the West for its own well-being and security began to collapse.

Recall that Turkey has been calling for the expansion of the UN Security Council for more than a year. The corresponding proposals were framed in the form of the slogan “The world is more than five”, which implies five permanent members of the Security Council – Russia, the United States. China, France and UK. This composition of the UN Security Council was formed following the results of the Second World War.
