Erdogan says Greece is trying to challenge NATO

According to Turkish leader Tayyip Erdogan, the Greek authorities are trying to challenge NATO when they use their S-300 air defense systems to track Turkish aircraft.

Athens used the S-300 to capture and escort Turkish F-16s.

Turkish experts noted that “despite such hostile actions, the aircraft completed their planned tasks and safely returned to their bases.”

“Greece has challenged NATO and allies, they are intensifying their hostile behavior, which began with the pursuit of our aircraft in the airspace when they activated the S-300. Greece is neither our political, nor economic, nor military partner and interlocutor,” – Erdogan emphasized
