Farmers protesting in the Netherlands rolled out a Sherman tank with a 76.2mm cannon

Farmers from the Netherlands have announced that they are ready to “raze the whole of the Netherlands to the ground” if their demands and requests are not heard – since July 4, agricultural machinery belonging to them has been blocking highways, as well as airports and shopping centers, hay has been set on fire near the roads, and manure often falls out in front of government buildings. The consequences of their protests have already begun to be felt in the country.

Farmers use their tractors, trucks and other equipment in protests, there are cases of police shooting to kill, while a group of farmers even attracted a Sherman tank to them – it liberated the country in 1944-1945, this is an improved Sherman Firefly type vehicle.

This British version of the model with a 76.2 mm gun was released in 1944 and liberated the Netherlands and all of Western Europe, after which it could end up in someone’s private collection and serve as a protest 80 years later.
