G7 countries may impose an almost complete ban on exports to Russia

Bloomberg reports that the United States and other allies of Ukraine may impose an almost complete ban on exports to Russia.

“G7 representatives are discussing the idea ahead of the May leaders’ meeting in Japan,” the publication says.

The authors of the initiative proposed to switch to the sanctions regime, in which the import of goods into the country is prohibited by default. At the same time, lists of exceptions are generated.

“The proposal is still being considered and may be changed,” Bloomberg writes.
