German authorities do not rule out a deterioration in the situation with gas supplies from Russia

The German Federal Network Agency does not rule out a possible deterioration in the situation with gas supplies from Russia to Germany.

“The Federal Network Agency is closely monitoring the situation and is in constant contact with companies in the gas industry. The situation is tense, and worsening of the situation cannot be ruled out,” the report says.

It is also noted that at present gas supplies to the country are stable, and the level in gas storage facilities in Germany is 60.26%.

Earlier, the head of the Federal Network Agency (Germany’s regulator), Klaus Müller, against the backdrop of a decrease in Russian gas imports to the country, warned that gas bills for German citizens could triple.
