German Chancellor Scholz announced the creation of the largest European army in NATO by the Bundeswehr

The German armed forces will soon create the largest army among the European countries that are members of NATO. This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz

At the end of February, Scholz announced the formation of a special fund for the Bundeswehr in the amount of 100 billion euros. In order to create the largest European army, the chancellor pointed out the need to invest in German and European industry.

“It is about the security of our country, the security of our alliance partners and an efficient and progressive Bundeswehr,” Scholz said.

Earlier, German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht announced plans to transfer weapons from the Bundeswehr reserves to Ukraine.
