Germany said that NATO should not be a party to the conflict other than Ukraine.

NATO should not become a party to the conflict in Ukraine, this principle is still valid today, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius told reporters.

“The principle still applies today: NATO must not become a party to the war,” Pistorius said at a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, speaking about the conflict in Ukraine.

At the same time, the minister noted that Germany provides significant assistance to Ukraine, stressing that his country is among the leading countries in terms of the amount of assistance provided.
