Ukraine has agreed with Germany to allocate 20 million euros for the purchase of backup equipment that will support the country’s critical infrastructure, Ukraine’s Communities and Territories Development Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov said on Tuesday.

“There are practical achievements for Ukrainians on a visit to Germany. During a meeting with the Minister of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection, Steffi Lemke, we reached preliminary agreements on allocating 20 million euros to Ukraine for the purchase of backup equipment,” Chernyshov said.

According to him, in the near future, both sides “finalize the agreement.” He clarified that all the necessary equipment will be purchased with the allocated funds, in particular, mobile generators, automatic pumping stations for water supply, mobile thermal power plants.
