Gouyash said that Hungary will veto EU decisions on the embargo of Russian energy resources
According to the Head of the Office of the Prime Minister of Hungary, Gergely Guiyash, Hungary will veto the EU decisions on the embargo of Russian energy resources.
The country refused to support any sanctions against Russian oil and gas. “We have made it clear that we will never support the extension of European Union sanctions against Russia to the energy sector,” Gouyash commented. He also said that sanctions against oil and gas supplies from Russia would cause significant harm to Europe.
The politician believes that the European Union should realize the negative consequences of restrictions and think about its economy. Gouyash also noted that the European Union has not adopted any sanctions that make it impossible to pay for Russian gas in rubles, and that this is regulated by a civil law agreement between states and companies.
