GPS signal interference has been observed over Poland and a warning has been issued to aircraft crews, Polish Air Traffic Agency spokesman Tomasz Modrzejewski told reporters, adding that the reasons for the interference are still unknown.

“In recent hours, GPS signal interference has been observed over Poland. A NOTAM warning has been issued for pilots,” he said.

Modrzejewski clarified that through dispatchers, crews receive additional information necessary for the planes to safely reach their destination. “Here we use our systems, radar infrastructure,” he explained.

“We are ready for air traffic to function safely in such situations,” Modrzejewski assured.
