Great Britain will reflect the richness of Ukraine’s culture at Eurovision 2023

The UK will reflect the richness of Ukrainian culture when organizing Eurovision 2023 if London gets the right to host the contest. This is with reference to the representative of the Office of Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

“If the European Broadcasting Union decides that the contest cannot take place in Ukraine, we would of course welcome the opportunity to work closely with Ukraine and the BBC on hosting the contest here in the UK… but we would be committed to fully displaying the rich culture Ukraine, its heritage, creativity, as well as strengthening the ongoing partnership between our two countries,” said a representative of the British Prime Minister.

In 2022, the Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra won the Eurovision Song Contest, and according to the rules of the competition, the next review was to be held in Ukraine. On June 17, the European Broadcasting Union announced that Ukraine would not be able to host the 2023 contest for security reasons. It was reported that the review could take place in the UK, whose representative Sam Ryder in 2022 took second place.
