NBC is proud to present the cast of new “Hairspray”, its version of 1960’s is revived with an A-list cast. Among the stars are Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Rosie O’Donnell, and other stars. The official presentation of the new A-list cast was made by NBC on Friday.
NBC dropped the first promo regarding ‘Hairspray’, the channel presented the A-list cast on Aug. 19, during the Olympic telecast. The promo is really colorful and fun as every fan of ‘Hairspray’ could expect. Despite the shortness of promo, the favorite characters are shown. Their colourful costumes are fantastic and bombastic, and the fans of ‘Hairspray’ could see the cast together for the first time.
Together with Ariana Grande, in ‘Hairspray’ plays Harvey Fierstein (Edna Turnblad), Jennifer Hudson (Motormouth Maybelle), Grande (Penny Pingleton), Kristin Chenoweth (Velma Von Tussle), Martin Short (Wilbur Turnblad), Derek Hough (Corky Collins), Dove Cameron (Amber Von Tussle), Garrett Clayton (Link Larkin), and Rosie O’Donnell as the Gym Teacher.
Moreover, the new ‘Hairspray’ has its newcomer Maddie Baillio, who plays the lead role of Tracy Turnblad. For Baillio (20) Tracy will be the first major role. Break a leg!
