Hugh Laurie about his Hollywood Walk of Fame star: “Incredibly lucky”

British actor Hugh Laurie got his personal star on the Hollywood Walk of fame, his portraying of Gregory House brought him an extraordinary good fortune. Laurie’s star was unveiled on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday.

Hugh Laurie, the British actor who played a lot of different roles in movies, theatre and TV shows, became a real star in Hollywood. The actor made his name not in Britain, but in the US: his award-winning lead role in the medical drama House between 2004 and 2012 made Laurie the real star.


The UK fans of Laurie know him as the most talented actor who ever portrayed Bertie Wooster, Hugh’s long-time collaborator Stephen Fry was the guest speaker at the Pig’n Whistle British pub on Hollywood Boulevard. In Britain, the TV sketch show Laurie&Fry is well-known, even the new generation likes to watch their old-school show. The most recent work of Laurie, The Night Manager, was very successful.
