Hungary opposed decisions leading to an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.

Hungary will not support “reckless” decisions leading to an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and threatening the security of Europe’s energy supply at a meeting of EU foreign ministers, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said.

“The goal today is geographically Brussels, and in content – so that reckless decisions could not appear, leading to an escalation in the war and endangering the energy supply of Europe,” Szijjarto wrote on social networks.

The EU foreign ministers are holding a regular meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels on Monday, at which it is planned to approve a mission to provide military assistance to Ukraine, as well as to adopt new sanctions against Iran.
