Hungary will temporarily stop importing agricultural products from Ukraine.

Hungary until June 30, 2023 bans the import of grain, oilseeds and a number of other agricultural products from Ukraine, Hungarian Minister of Agriculture Istvan Nagy said.

“The [Hungarian] government is committed to defending the interests of the Hungarian farming community, therefore, in the absence of significant EU measures, it temporarily, like Poland, prohibits the import of grain and oilseeds, as well as a number of other agricultural products produced in Ukraine or coming from there to Hungary,” the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture cites the words of Nagyon its website.

It is noted that the ban will last until June 30, 2023, until that time Hungary expects from the EU measures to support European farmers and revise the rules for duty-free import of agricultural products from Ukraine.
