Immunologist O’Neill called night sweats a symptom of the BA.5 coronavirus omicron variant

Professor-immunologist, teacher of biochemistry Luke O’Neill called a new symptom of a variant of the omicron-strain of coronavirus infection

“An additional symptom for BA.5 is night sweats. It can be so strong that both pajamas and bedding get wet, ”he said.

According to him, this symptom can manifest itself in both adults and children. He clarified that this is not related to the elevated temperature.

“A new symptom is the result of a new virus encountering the immune system. As a result, you have new variants of the disease,” he said.

Earlier, the Director General of the World qHealth Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that the number of coronavirus infections in the world has increased dramatically.
