In Berlin, said about the poor preparation of Europe for the economic crisis

Europe is facing great challenges in connection with the current economic crisis, but there is also poor preparation for new difficulties, said the head of the German Ministry of Economy, Vice Chancellor Robert Habek, speaking at an event of the CDU party.

“Sometimes there is a feeling that there will be no end to this, what will happen next? The challenges seem to be more and more massive – natural disasters, the COVID-19 pandemic, pandemics in the health sector, now there is war again in Europe … But wars have always been in Europe, there have always been pandemics… Perhaps we in Germany and Europe over the past 30 years have inspired ourselves that the crises in the past, we don’t know how to deal with it, have become to a certain extent difficult to rise,” the minister said.

He called it “an erroneous assessment”, stressed that the challenges are great, no one wants to argue with this, but perhaps we are not well prepared politically to face the challenges.
