In Mexico, 20 people were killed in a collision between a bus and a trailer.

At least 20 people were killed and another 22 injured when a passenger bus and a trailer collided on a highway in the Mexican state of Sinaloa, Azteca television reported.

“According to preliminary data, at least 20 people were killed and 22 injured as a result of a collision between a passenger bus and a trailer on Tuesday morning on the Mazatlán-Culiacán-Maxipista highway,” the channel’s website said.

The accident occurred near the municipality of Elote, where a trailer reportedly crashed into a double-decker passenger bus. As a result of the accident, both vehicles burned out.


It is reported that all the dead were local residents. The civil protection service noted that the count of victims and injured has not been completed – work continues at the scene of the accident.
