The complex of buildings of the EU representative office burned down in the capital of the Central African Republic (CAR), the city of Bangui.

“The buildings of the EU delegation in Bangui were engulfed in fire on Monday night. No one was injured. We thank our partners in advance for their patience during the reorganization of our service,” EU Ambassador to CARDuglas Darius Carpenter tweeted.

This is not the first incident with foreign missions in the CAR in recent times. On Friday morning, a parcel sent to him exploded in the office of the head of the Russian House in Bangui, Dmitry Syty. He was hospitalized.
