In all units of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, detachments will be created from the reserve military personnel, their goals, if necessary, will be the fight against sabotage and reconnaissance groups and illegal armed groups, the ministry said on Saturday.

According to the report, one of these formations was created at military unit 3214 in Minsk. “The formed special-purpose detachment to combat sabotage and reconnaissance groups and illegal armed groups was given the name Smerch. Similar units will be created in all formations of the internal troops,” the ministry’s Telegram channel said.

It is noted that in the military unit 3214 a training camp was held for the assigned staff of the special forces units of the internal troops. According to the report, 300 reserve servicemen improved the skills acquired during military and contract service, as well as acquired new knowledge and skills in fire, tactical, and medical training.

“The personnel training program was intense: from performing shooting exercises for special forces units to actions in battle, during the evacuation of the wounded and providing him with first aid. At the tactical and special training, special attention was paid to coordinating the minimum tactical groups, the algorithm and order of actions in the wooded and swampy There was also a practice of blocking and detaining sabotage and reconnaissance groups,” the report says.

It is emphasized that “the military personnel of the training camp have become a monolithic team, which, if necessary, will be able to give a worthy rebuff to the enemy, protecting the constitutional order of the country, the life and safety of citizens.”
