According to the report, India’s demographic diversity provides unique opportunities for gain among the country’s states.

“Different states are at different stages of the demographic transition and an aging population in southern India can meet their labor needs with a larger share of the younger population in the northern and eastern parts of the country through favorable interstate migration policies,” the report of the fund says.
