Israel becomes a transit point for ammunition from the Pentagon to Ukraine

According to the American newspaper, the Pentagon is using a vast stock of American ammunition in warehouses in Israel to supply 155mm shells to Ukraine.

Deliveries are carried out from American warehouses established in the 1970s after the Arab-Israeli conflict, “when the United States airlifted weapons to replenish the stocks of Israeli forces.”the report said.

The information says that in 2022, the United States and Israel agreed to supply Ukraine with about 300,000 shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters. Approximately half of them have already been sent to Europe by now.

Now US officials are “trying to collect enough shells” to ensure the supply of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2023.
