“Every day more children are killed in this country: the sooner the project gets on my desk, the sooner I will sign it, and the sooner we can use these measures to save lives,” he said.

According to the head of the White House, the initiative reflects steps in the right direction.

He stated that this bill will be a significant document on the safe possession of weapons.
Earlier, the US House of Representatives voted to tighten control over the circulation of firearms in the country. In particular, congressmen supported raising the minimum age for purchasing firearms from 18 to 21 and for a ban on the sale of high-capacity magazines. The initiative was supported by 223 congressmen, against – 204.
