Johnny Depp loses his money month by month, one of the most overpaid actors in the world is selling his penthouses. Last week, the Pirates of the Carribean has sold the fifth and the last penthouse in Los Angeles and even made a profit.
The Black Mass star sold two of the properties in October and November last year, netting $2.545million and $3.09million for the homes respectively. The 2017 autumn went under the same aegis, the actor is continuing to sell his LA property. Struggling with reported financial troubles, Mr Depp sold the final unit of his five penthouses for $1.425million, having originally listed all five as one listing of $12.78million.
The penthouse looks gorgeous like all the five LA units, which total a combined 11,500 square feet of space. According to the reports, each penthouse was sold separately, bringing in $10.88million, around $2million under the collective asking price. In fact, Johnny Depp made a significant profit.
Recently, Depp is reportedly still suffering fiscally from his divorce from Amber Heard, the divorce with the golddigger made Depp face selling five of his other LA properties in order to pay back the business managers that saved him from financial ruin. Definitely, 2016-2017 years weren’t the most successful for Johnny.
That being said, the actor has still made a $3.7million profit on the combined sales, after he bought them in 2007 for a total of $7.173million.
Originally, the final penthouse had instead been listed as a rental property, advertised at $5,500 per month.
The apartment features a loft-style floor plan with exposed brickwork and has stunning views of LA, with a whimsical mural by Brazilian street artist Osgemeos running from floor to ceiling, filling the entire wall of the 1,780 square feet of living area.
