Kate Middleton, Prince William received a visit from Roger Federer and family

Kate Middleton, Prince William received a visit from Roger Federer and family

The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge and her husband were happy to receive the visit of Roger Federer at Kensington Palace. The tennis star arrived London with his family and spent two hours with the Cambridges.

Kate Middleton was glad to see Roger Federer and his family as the Kensington Palace this weekend on the route for London ATP finals. Both families spent two hours together, speaking of tennis, of course. Kate always says that Prince George likes to play tennis, she even asked the opinion of Greg Rusedski, a British tennis star.

On Saturday, while little Federers enjoyed a very special playdate with the little Cambridges, their parents sipped a tea and discussed sport, business, plans for the upcoming Christmas. The 36-year-old Roger and his wife Mirka were pictured taking their four children, twin girls Myla Rose and Charlene Riva, eight, and twin boys Leo and Lennart, three, to visit their close friends, Kate Middleton and Pince William, at Kensington Palace.

Roger and family brought two small presents, presumably for a young royal generation, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The tennis star’s family was pictured leaving their hotel, located just around the corner from the royal residence, before driving to the Palace. It is thought the two families spent almost two hours together.

Prince William and Roger Federer are good friends

It’s no surprise that the Federers visited the Cambridges at Kensington Palace, the two families have been friends since meeting at Wimbledon and most recently Roger and Mirka attended Pippa Middleton and James Matthews’ wedding back in April.

In 2013, Kate’s youngest sister Pippa even conducted an exclusive interview with the sporting ace shortly after she was appointed Contributing Editor for Vanity Fair. During the chat, the pair discussed what he eats for breakfast and whether the men’s and women’s champions have to dance together at the Wimbledon-ball after-party.

She has been pictured on numerous occasions watching Roger play at Wimbledon from the Royal-box as well as seeing him at the ATP World Tour in London in 2014.
