Mr Payne commented his decision to start a lolo career:

‘One Direction will always be my family; I’m now excited to show what I can do as a solo artist.’

The new song has been penned by a team of songwriters who previously worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Nick Jonas including composers Emily Warren, Nick Monson and Scott Harris.

Earlier, in October, Liam was teasing his fans with the information–what his solo album might sound like. Payne uploaded an unnamed, R&B-flavoured track to his Instagram and tagged producers Danny Boy Styles and Ben Billions, both of whom have worked with The Weeknd.

“Just finished a busy day in the studio. May not a be song I release (sic) but wanted to invite you into the writing process hope you enjoyed it.”
