Liam Payne is starting his solo career, the ex-onedirectioner has already registered the first song with BMI. Payne’s new track entitled ‘Myself’ was spotted online on Tuesday.
The music rights organisation BMI was glad to welcome new composition of Liam Payne, the ex-member of One Direction boys-band set his solo career. The first track ‘Myself’ will be laid onto the base of his future album, good luck, Liam!
Mr Payne commented his decision to start a lolo career:
‘One Direction will always be my family; I’m now excited to show what I can do as a solo artist.’
The new song has been penned by a team of songwriters who previously worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Nick Jonas including composers Emily Warren, Nick Monson and Scott Harris.
Earlier, in October, Liam was teasing his fans with the information—what his solo album might sound like. Payne uploaded an unnamed, R&B-flavoured track to his Instagram and tagged producers Danny Boy Styles and Ben Billions, both of whom have worked with The Weeknd.
“Just finished a busy day in the studio. May not a be song I release (sic) but wanted to invite you into the writing process hope you enjoyed it.”
The boys-band One Direction announced their hiatus last year but rumours about whether it was actually a break-up have circulated all year, with the band’s former mentor and X Factor judge Simon Cowell saying: ‘I don’t know if it’s a hiatus or a break-up, to be honest.’ In other words, those guys from OneD are so intriguing!
