Former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is ahead of his main rival in the elections, the incumbent head of state Jair Bolsonaro, after counting less than 1% of the vote, data from the High Electoral Court show.

According to the very first data, Lula da Silva scored 51.15% and Bolsonaro 36.77%. However, then the data almost equalized. Based on the results of counting 0.19% of the votes, Lula da Silva had 44.42%, Bolsonaro had 43.84%.
