Prime Minister Xavier Bettel has confirmed that he is in self-isolation after a test, which has detected the COVID infection.

Luxembourg’s head of the Cabinet since Sunday morning been in self-isolation after testing positive for Covid-19.

The official announcement from the government says that PM Xavier Bettel will be in isolation for 10 days. On Monday, the top Luxembourg official is showing mild symptoms like fever and headache. Meanwhile, he will continue to perform his duties by the distant working, the government said in a press release.

The 48-year-old prime minister Bettel received his first AstraZeneca vaccine dose on May 6.
