Michelle Obama takes ‘most admired woman’ title from Hillary Clinton

Michelle Obama becomes the most admired woman in America, said the annual Gallup poll’s results. The Former US first lady took this title from Hillary Clinton who was the winner 17 years in a row. In 2018, Mrs Clinton came third only.

America’s most admired woman is Michelle Obama, according to Gallup poll, which has been carried out every year since 1946, with the exception of 1976. If Barack Obama comes top again next year he will tie with the record holder – ex-president Dwight Eisenhower who won the most admired man title 12 times, Gallup said. In a double whammy for the Obamas, former president Barack Obama was named the man Americans admire most for the 11th year in a row, backed by 19%.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump is one of only two presidents not to have won the title while in office, the other being Gerald Ford.
