Moldova will resume the movement of passenger trains to Kyiv.

Moldova is resuming international passenger rail transportation between Chisinau and Kyiv, said Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic, Minister of Infrastructure Andrei Spinu.

“After more than 20 years, international passenger rail trips from Chisinau to Kyiv, the train of the world, are resuming. The cars are painted by Ukrainian artists and each represents a separate region of Ukraine,” Spinu wrote on his Telegram channel.

From November 6, 2022, the regular Chisinau-Kyiv train will depart to Ukraine three times a week. The train is designed for 280 passengers, it has seven cars, five of which are compartments and two reserved seats. The Chisinau-Kyiv railway route will be operated by the Moldovan Railways and Ukrzaliznytsya (Ukrainian Railways).
