NATO Secretary General assessed the risks of using nuclear weapons against Ukraine.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg assessed as “low” the risk of using nuclear weapons against Ukraine.

“We are closely monitoring the actions and remain vigilant, especially when it comes to exercises. The risk of a nuclear strike on Ukraine, the use of nuclear weapons is low. But the potential consequences of this are very high, so we must take this risk seriously,” he said, speaking at the annual Berlin Foreign Policy Forum.

According to him, in this regard, NATO brings to Russia the information about the most serious consequences of such a step, as well as that “a nuclear war cannot be won.” “Until now, we have not observed a change in the readiness of Russia’s nuclear forces,” he said.
