NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg threatened Serbia with the introduction of troops into Kosovo

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance is ready to intervene in the conflict in Kosovo, based on a UN mandate.

Earlier, Stoltenberg and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic held talks, after which the NATO Secretary General said that the International Security Forces in Kosovo would intervene if “stability is threatened.”

Stoltenberg also noted that negotiations with Belgrade were necessary because of the high risk of an escalation of the conflict, the development of which cannot be allowed.

“NATO is doing its part. Prevention is best, but we are ready to act if necessary,” the Secretary General said.
