Netanyahu said he did not want a military confrontation with Russia.

Israel does not want a military confrontation with Russia, said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“I have no desire to enter into a new Russian-Israeli military confrontation. And no one wants to,” he said in an interview with CNN.

At the same time, according to Netanyahu, Israel has a “difficult relationship” with Russia, since Israeli and Russian planes fly from each other “at a distance of spitting” on the border with Syria.

“Israel needs freedom of action in the air. And this freedom of action can lead us to a confrontation with Russian pilots. I prefer that this does not happen,” he stressed.
