New UK PM Truss vows to cut taxes and tackle energy crisis

Liz Truss, during her first speech as British Prime Minister, promised to cut taxes, solve the energy crisis and health problems.

“I will make sure people can make appointments and access the National Health Service (NHS) when they need it. We will put our health care on a solid footing if we perform well in the economy, energy and NHS,” she said. Truss on Tuesday, making his first appearance at Downing Street.


She noted that one of her first priorities will be to cut taxes to “reward hard work and encourage business growth and investment.”


Truss also vowed to solve the energy crisis and “ensure future energy supplies.”
