Poland announced the collapse of the country’s coal market

The coal market in Poland is rapidly “rushing to collapse.” This was stated by analyst Andrzej Szczesniak.

According to him, Warsaw was in a kind of trap. On the one hand, the country has sanctions on the import of fuel from Russia, and on the other, the European Union has total control over coal mining.

The specialist noted that currently the market is divided into two segments. The first is state-owned mines that sell coal to households at low profits at producer price.

“As a result, prices there are two or three times lower than in the rest of the market,” added Schesniak. “Therefore, queues form at state-owned mines, and, of course, sales restrictions are introduced.”

Moreover, the analyst stressed that the Poles are afraid that there will not be enough coal even for autumn. Such a panic in society causes its buying, which further increases prices.
