Polish Prime Minister Morawiecki expressed Warsaw’s concern over the Suwalki corridor

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that Poland, being a member of NATO, is protected from Russia, but worries about the Suwalki Corridor – a piece of territory near the city of Suwalki in northeastern Poland, located between Belarus and the Kaliningrad region of Russia.

“Poland is a member of the most powerful military alliance in the history of the world. I do not think that Russia will dare to raise a hand against the strongest alliance,” Morawiecki said.

According to him, the strategists of the North Atlantic Alliance consider the Suwalki corridor one of the critical places on the NATO map.
Morawiecki added that NATO and Poland are taking this place under “special attention.”
