Russia did not participate in the meeting of the UN Security Council with the EU Security

Committee As Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, wrote in his Telegram channel, Russia did not take part in the informal meeting of the UN Security Council members with the EU Committee on Politics and Security because of the Russophobic policy of the European Union.

“Russia has decided not to participate today in an informal meeting of members of the Security Council with the EU Committee on Politics and Security,” he wrote.

“We made this decision in light of the clearly hostile and Russophobic policy of the EU, which is actively trying to “put out” the fire of the Ukrainian crisis by adding gasoline to it. Another plausible explanation for the open militancy of the current EU leaders, who not only promote a reckless anti-Russian agenda, but supplies of weapons to Ukraine, … no,” Polyansky stressed.

He noted that the EU policy largely provoked the beginning of the Ukrainian crisis in 2014 and aggravated it, ignored the 8-year war waged by Ukraine against the inhabitants of Donbass. “Last but not least, it has become clear that the EU no longer has a foreign policy or strategy of its own. The only thing it can do is bow to the US when Washington whistles,” the diplomat added.
