Russian Ambassador summoned to the Dutch Foreign Ministry

The Dutch Foreign Ministry summoned Russian Ambassador to The Hague Alexander Shulgin against the backdrop of past referendums on the admission of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics (DPR and LPR) to Russia.

The ministry emphasized its refusal to recognize the results of the vote.

“On September 30, Russian Ambassador to the Netherlands Alexander Shulgin was invited to the Foreign Ministry, where he was told about the non-recognition of the voting results in the LPR, DPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. The Dutch side argued that the entry of these regions into Russia would not have legal force, ”the embassy said.

According to diplomats, Shulgin challenged the Dutch side’s claim that the referendums were fictitious. The Ambassador noted the impeccable organization of the voting of voters, which was witnessed by many international observers from various countries, including representatives from the Netherlands.
