Scholz says Germany is ready to “successfully overcome” two winters

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Germany is doing better than initially predicted to prepare for the coming winter in terms of energy supplies.

Scholz said the measures taken by the German government “have made it possible to achieve much more in terms of security of supply than was predicted a few months ago.”

In particular, he highly appreciated the work of his government in organizing gas supplies.

“We very quickly began to prepare for a situation in which there may be problems with energy supplies,” the chancellor said.

According to him, “thanks to such a quick reaction, it was possible to quickly take the necessary decisions to successfully overcome the next two winters.”
