Scientists have established the true ways of transmission of the coronavirus COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2.

According to a study by the British Medical Journal, the mechanism of spread of SARS-CoV-2 turned out to be different than previously thought.

Initially, it was about the drip mechanism of transmission of the virus. In fact, as the authors of the study note, the coronavirus is transmitted by airborne droplets. Prior to this discovery, not all measures to protect against the virus were suitable for dealing with it. Therapist Alexei Vodovozov notes that these mechanisms differ due to the diameter of the particles released into the environment.

With the drip mechanism, it was assumed that virus particles could “live” for some time on the surface. Against the backdrop of this conclusion, more time was devoted to the processing of hands and horizontal surfaces, but people still got sick. However, the measures to combat stopping the transmission of the virus by airborne droplets are slightly different. They aim to improve air quality.
