Siemens sees no link between turbine maintenance and cuts in gas supplies

A representative of Siemens Energy said that the company does not see a connection between the maintenance of turbines for Nord Stream and the reduction in gas supplies, which was announced by Gazprom.

He noted that the turbine, which was previously repaired in Canada, will be sent to Russia as soon as Moscow provides the necessary import customs documents.

“At the moment, we thus do not see a connection between the turbine and the reduction in gas supplies that have been implemented or announced,” said a representative of the German company. Or

Earlier, Gazprom reported that they were stopping the operation of another Siemens gas turbine engine at the Portovaya CS.

Gazprom reported that it had received documents from the Canadian authorities from Siemens, but questions remain about the sanctions of the European Union and Great Britain, the solution of which is important for the supply of turbines to Russia.
