Syria’s al-Assad denounces attacks on religious beliefs

President Bashar al-Assad condemned the attacks against religious beliefs in Syria, saying that faith is a crucial aspect for social structure.

Syrian President has to intervene in the traditional meeting with Muslim dignitaries organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs at the Al-Othman Mosque in Damascus.

‘The correct religion is one that prevents political goals by creating a barrier that prevents them from transforming us into herds of cattle led to the altar,’ al-Assad said.

Commenting on the attacks, President stressed that in Syria, true religion is an essential base for a social structure that is completely opposite to the social structure required to promote liberalism. Thus, a large part of the attack against the religious institution comes from abroad, said al-Assad.

Condemning the attacks against religious beliefs in Syria, President said that Western society takes advantage of the gaps to incite it in the Middle Eastern region. Those who promote it ‘are the ones who bear the responsibility because terrorism is not an Islamic product and that is obvious’, he said.

According to the Syrian President, they want us to reach political collapse, so there is social collapse, and without a healthy society, there will be no religion in the true sense. However, important to realize that religion without family, without morals and without trust, couldn’t exist.
