Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to play his star role again, the Hollywood A-lister definitely will be back to shoot Terminator 6 this June. Another good news is Linda Hamilton will appear alongside the original Terminator T-800, an unbelievable actors duo!
Arnold Schwarzenegger confirmed his intention to become the star of Terminator 6 movie, the official statement of the actor to the TheArnoldFans reads:
“We are starting to shoot Terminator 6 in June to the middle of October, so I am in that.”
Arnie added as well he is looking forward to coming back as the T-800 model.
‘It’s gonna be great with Tim Miller as the director and Jim Cameron is kind of supervising the whole thing,’
the star said.
According to the producers, Terminator 6 is due to be released on July 27, 2019. The sci-fi movie is hoping to reboot the flagging franchise, after a string of poorly received sequels. In fact, the film will be helmed by Deadpool departee Tim Miller while Terminator mastermind James Cameron will executive produce between his work on the Avatar films.
Terminator 6 will be a sequel to the second part
Billy Ray, who has been drafted to rewrite the original Terminator 6 script, said that the sixth part of the franchise will be an official sequel to the second part, not to the fifth. Well, better things are said to be in store, with a commitment to a new Terminator trilogy that is reportedly in the works.
The Dark Knight’s David Goyer, Dark Angel’s Charles Eglee and The Sarah Connor Chronicles’ Josh Friedman have all been drafted in to help storyboard Terminator 7 and 8 – but we will insert our concern over lack of female representation in the writers’ room here.
Especially since the franchise is reportedly looking for a young female lead to join Schwarzenegger and Hamilton.
