The Argentine Congress clashed with the police.

More than 20 people were injured in clashes with police during Argentine President Javier Miley’s speech in parliament, C5N TV channel reported.

“Cruel repression at Congress. More than 20 people were injured from the use of pepper gas. The incidents occurred when Miley arrived at Congress,” the media notes.

The head of state today opened the “working year” of parliament, making a speech about the upcoming reforms.

This is not the first protest demonstration against the policies of the current authorities. During the consideration of the president’s reforms in parliament, Argentines gathered for several days in a row in front of the congress building to oppose radical changes. Almost every time the event ended with police intervention.
