The death toll in the collapse of a residential building in Iraq has risen to 15 people.

At least 15 people have died in the collapse of a residential building in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.

“The number of deaths due to a gas explosion in Sulaymaniyah has risen to 15 people, 12 people were injured,” the city’s police department said.

It is noted that the cause of the collapse was the explosion of a gas cylinder in one of the residential complexes of Sulaimaniya the day before on Thursday.

The explosion led to the complete collapse of a residential building, and also caused significant damage to neighboring houses.

On Thursday evening, authorities in the region reported five dead and 15 injured.

According to some reports, at the moment, rescuers have finished extracting bodies from under the rubble of the collapsed building.
