The French MP urged to discuss in Parliament the supply of Leclerc to Kyiv.

Manuel Bompard, a member of the French left party “Unsubdued France”, believes that the issue of possible supplies of Leclerc tanks to Ukraine should be discussed in the French National Assembly (lower house of parliament).

“If we had to make such a decision, we could not do without a discussion in the National Assembly. I think that raising the level of armaments requires at least a democratic debate in the National Assembly so that we have strategic, military information, which allows us to make an informed decision,” Bompard said in response to a question about the possible sending of tanks by France to Ukraine.

On Sunday, French President Emmanuel Macron said he did not rule out any options in terms of further arms supplies to Ukraine, including Leclerc tanks.

Florian Filippo, the leader of the French Patriots movement, expressed the opinion that Macron is being pressured to send Leclerc tanks to Volodymyr Zelensky.
