The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, interrupted a meeting with Shmyhal in Odessa due to a missile strike

The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, during a visit to Odessa on May 9, was forced to stop the meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal due to a missile attack.

Politicians had to interrupt the meeting in order to take cover from a missile attack in the Odessa area.
Michel himself in his Twitter account said that he wanted to celebrate Europe Day in Odessa, where he also held talks with Ukrainian Prime Minister Shmygal.
It is known that the countries of the European Union celebrate Europe Day on May 9th. On this day in 1950, the declaration of French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman was published, which united the steel industry of France and Germany and became the first European community and the prototype of the European Union.
Earlier it became known that Croatian Prime Minister Andrei Plenkovic paid an unannounced visit to Ukraine. In particular, Plenkovich met with the country’s leadership, and then visited Irpen and Bucha. The Croatian Prime Minister held talks with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk.
