The Indian Foreign Ministry announced Ukraine’s requests to provide medicines.

Ukraine has asked India to provide additional medicines and medical equipment, the Indian Foreign Ministry said following a visit to New Delhi by First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova.

Japarova arrived in Delhi on Monday. She held talks with the Secretary of the Western Department of the Indian Foreign Ministry, Sanjay Verma, and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Culture, Meenakshi Lekhi.

“In addition to discussing a wide range of bilateral and international issues of mutual interest, she conveyed a letter from President Zelensky addressed to Prime Minister Modi. She also shared Ukraine’s request for additional humanitarian supplies, including medicines and medical equipment,” the Indian Foreign Ministry said.

It is noted that during the meeting with Verma Dzheppar “informed about the current situation in Ukraine“, and also “suggested that the restoration of infrastructure in Ukraine could be an opportunity for Indian companies.”

“Both sides agreed to hold the next round of consultations of the ministries of foreign affairs in Kyiv at a convenient time for both sides,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
